As E3 inches closer, companies have begun to announce the titles each expects to showcase at the event. Today Majesco, having recently confirmed that was moving away from high-profile console titles to budget releases and portable games, announced a series of portable titles for the Nintendo DS and PSP, while EA announced it's mobile lineup of games. Midway also confirmed its series of current and next-generation offerings as well. Majesco will feature one title for the PSP this year at E3, the fighting game Guilty Gear Judgment, which will include content from Guilty Gear X2 #Reload as well as a new 2D side scrolling beat'em up. The company will also have three new Nintendo DS titles on hands, including MechAssault: Phantom War, Monster Bomber, and Cooking Mama, which features 76 recipes and claims to teach players how to cook. Electronic Arts also confirmed its lineup of mobile offerings for E3. Chief among those titles announced is id Software's new intellectual property Orcs & Elves, which is being developed exclusively for mobile phones by Fountainhead Entertainment. EA will also showcase several titles from its EA Sports lineup, including 2006 FIFA World Cup, Fight Night Round 3, Madden NFL 07, NBA Live 2007, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07, and an enhanced version of Tetris. Finally, Midway will have numerous anticipated games at E3, many of which are in development for next-generation platforms. The action game Stranglehold is being developed for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC for a winter release, and is being made to reflect the distinct film style of John Woo. Unreal Tournament 2007, the latest version in Epic's FPS series, is also set to be unveiled at E3 for the PC and PlayStation 3. Other confirmed next-gen showings include a version of Blitz: The League for the Xbox 360, Wii, and PSP, as well as The Ant Bully and Happy Feet for the Wii, as well as other current generation platforms and the PC. Midway will have several other titles on displays as well, including Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, the latest game in the long running fighting game franchise, which will feature nearly every character from the series. The game will launch for the PS2 and Xbox in October. Spy Hunter: Nowhere to Run will also be shown, which will feature the voice of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The last console title announced by Midway for E3 is The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, and upcoming action adventure game starring the characters from the Cartoon Network television show. The PC MMO The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar will be on the show floor at E3, as will be Midway's upcoming RTS for the PC Rise & Fall: Civilizations at War, which will be running exclusively on Alienware systems at the show. The company also plans to show a healthy number of PSP titles at E3, including portable versions of NBA Ballers, RUSH, and MLB SlugFest 2006. A new version of Mortal Kombat, subtitled Unchained, will also be shown.
