Magazine publisher Enoble Media has announced key staff appointments for its new consumer game digital publication focusing on the mobile/handheld gaming market, Portable Gaming & Entertainment, whose initial digital format issue is due to receive distribution in North America in September. According to the company, Todd Mowatt, former Electronic Gaming Monthly and EGM 2 editor and EIC for the pre-Official PlayStation Magazine monikered P.S.X. Magazine, has signed up as editor in chief of the publication, and Washington Post, Videogame Transmedia, and Hollywood Report columnist John Gaudiosi will be the magazine's editor-at-large. Enoble Media, the publisher of other consumer publications such as Handheld Computing and Digital Camera, as well as Skin & Ink, Braids & Beauty, and Today's Black Woman, previously announced that it is partnering with Zinio Systems, Inc to provide a digital-only version of the magazine, and that the 250,000 initial subscriptions are fully ad-supported.
