Escape Studios has been commissioned by Pixar Animation Studios to develop a comprehensive set of courseware for Pixar’s RenderMan software. Currently under development by Escape Studios, this will be the first courseware to receive official certification from Pixar Animation Studios. The RenderMan certified courseware is intended for use in educational institutions and production environments. Developed by Escape Studios’ Technical Creative Director, Scott Eaton, these materials will include case studies of production rendering techniques from studios around the world. "We are delighted to work with Escape Studios with their many years of experience in real-world training for the production industry" said Chris Ford, RenderMan Business Director. "Our new courseware will provide unprecedented insight into the actual production techniques used by TD's in visual effects and feature film rendering, which together with a new Certified Training Program will provide the highest level of education for the professional use of RenderMan." Dominic Davenport, CEO of Escape Studios said, “We are really very flattered to have been asked by Pixar to develop the official courseware for RenderMan. A shared desire to deliver high quality results without compromise makes our relationship an absolute joy. We look forward to supporting both new and existing RenderMan users with an effective learning resource.” The RenderMan certified courseware is scheduled for release late summer 2007.
