Officials from Paradox Interactive have announced that the publisher has hired two former Atari executives, Reena Miranda and Martin Sirc, to lead sales and marketing initiatives both in U.S. and Europe. Reena Miranda formerly was director of product acquisition and third parties at Atari. Paradox says she will now lead sales and marketing activities for the US market. Martin Sirc comes to the publisher as a former managing director at Atari's Nordic division. With Paradox he will be responsible for developing and leading the company's growing subsidiary Paradox Scandinavian Distribution. In July, Paradox announced it had acquired the rights to Cyberlore Studios' real-time strategy franchise Majesty. Paradox CEO Theodore Bergqvist stated at the time that the company plans to “build upon the strengths” of the now 7 year old series, as well as capitalize on the its popularity and core features. Said Bergqvist of the appointments, "We are thrilled to welcome Reena and Martin to our team. They represent exactly what we have been looking for and we feel confident having them onboard when moving forward with our strategy."
