Developer Panzar Studio has announced that it has licensed Crytek's CryEngine 2 for its forthcoming online fantasy PC game Forged By Chaos, chosen especially, says the studio, for its Sandbox 2 editor. Panzar says the game "is based on the Chaos theme - worlds powered by steel and battle magic," and will see the player progress from novice to warlord through the gaing of Chaos Magic skills. The studio promises "customizable characters, interactive environments, multi-player interaction, and enhanced game world dynamics." Company CEO Vladimir Valkov said "CryEngine 2 combined a number of innovative programming ideas and creative decisions to create product which eliminated a lot of the previous limitations which used to exist for game developers. We were also impressed by their handy Sandbox 2 editor, which was designed to work with very expansive and highly detailed locations, their modern dynamic lighting model, and their character animation systems, including inverse kinematics and dynamics." Added Crytek managing director Faruk Yerli, "CryEngine 2, with its versatile capabilities, is the perfect fit for Troxit Services/Panzar Studios´ promising and ambitious online fantasy project Forged by Chaos. We feel very confident the studio’s unique creative talent and experience combined with our tools and technology will result in an outstanding gaming experience.”
