NVIDIA Brings GeForce FX To Media Center
NVIDIA is now offering OEMs a suite of hardware and drivers specifically designed to bring its highest performance consumer graphics to Microsoft’s Windows XP Media Center Edition.

The company has designed a new low-profile TV tuner/MPEG-2 decoding card and a low-profile version of the GeForce FX 5200, and beefed up its driver suite with DVD decoding and integrated control of display settings through the Media Center remote control. NVIDIA’s aim with these products is to enable PC manufacturers to build higher performance computers with smaller form factors that don’t force Media Center buyers to make do with the older GeForce 4 (DX 8) graphics that many of the existing systems include.
