Nothing Real announced at Macworld that it will port its Shake compositing technology to Apple's next-generation operating system, Mac OS X. Shake technology is presently available on the Windows NT, IRIX and Linux operating systems. Shake on Mac OS X is scheduled for delivery in 2001. At the Macworld convention, visitors to the Alias Wavefront booth can see advance previews of Shake software running on Mac OS X. Shake is Nothing Real's compositing software product line that provides a general-purpose image manipulation toolset to users without the need for specialized hardware. It features a graphic user interface that emphasizes intuitive "process-tree" control features for complex image manipulation tasks. This interface is designed for creatives in film, HDTV, broadcast, post-production and multimedia with tools to quickly manipulate high-resolution images in conjunction with the creation of composites, effects and animations. Shake will be priced at $9,900. Additional render-only network licenses will be available at $3,900. Nothing Real LLC 211 Windward Ave. Second Floor Venice, CA 90291 USA
