Following the success of the Nordic Game 2006 event, organizers have announced dates and speakers for the 2007 event, which is due to take place in May rather than the September dates of the previous year. The fourth annual conference will take place in Malmo, Sweden on May 15th and 16th, with more than one thousand delegates expected and over fifty seminars, workshops, exhibitions and special events. The theme of this year’s event will be online gaming, with an emphasis on the increasingly important role of online social relationships. The topics of downloadable content and gaming communities will also be covered in detail. The initial line-up of speakers for the event has also been announced, most of whom are closely associated with music related titles. Confirmed speakers include Sony SingStar producer Paulina Bozek; as well as Greg LoPiccolo and Ryan Lesser from Guitar Hero creators Harmonix; Parappa the Rapper developer Matsuura Masaya; and ICO and LocoRoco producer Kouno Tsutomu. Other speakers and events are expected to be announced later in the year. Further information, including registration details are now available at the conference’s official website.
