Nintendo has announced that former marketing VP Perrin Kaplan has been replaced by Reebok marketing exec Denise Kaigler, as Whirlpool Corporation vet Bill Van Zyll is hired to head the company's Latin America division. Nintendo says Kaigler joins the company following 16 years at shoe company Reebok, where she served as head of corporate communications and corporate citizenship. She also serves as head of corporate communications at Reebok parent company Adidas Group. The company says she will "oversee all aspects of corporate affairs, including corporate communications, public relations, government affairs, investor and analyst relations, and internal communications for Nintendo of America, and will play a key role in global coordination." Van Zyll formerly served as Whirlpool's director of finance for sales, which included responsibilities overseeing the company's Latin America operations, which will be useful in his new post looking after short and long term strategies for Nintendo in the region. Said Nintendo executive marketing VP Cammie Dunaway, to whom both will report, "Denise and Bill bring a wealth of branding and marketing experience to our team. Their expertise will help us keep Nintendo's momentum going strong throughout 2008 and beyond."
