Nintendo has expanded its promotional partnership with pop star Beyonce Knowles, who will contribute downloadable real-world designs from her Dereon clothing line to Nintendo's Style Savvy DS title. The game, which launched in November 2009, lets players manage their own virtual fashion boutiques, and Beyonce is apparently a fan: "I love that I get to become a stylist and take over my own boutique, and it’s so much fun to see some of my Dereon designs added to the mix," she says. During 2009, Beyonce appeared in a television ad campaign for Nintendo's music title Rhythm Heaven that showed her practicing her skills at the game with a young relative. She'll now appear in two new spots for Style Savvy which will air on the kid-friendly Nickelodeon channel around the popular Kids' Choice Awards. Says Nintendo: "Beyonce’s upcoming promotional efforts and downloadable Dereon designs are set to sustain the game’s momentum well into 2010."
