Mythic Entertainment, developers of MMORPG Dark Age of Camelot, have announced plans to open an office in Europe. The precise location or even country hasn't yet been revealed, but the European office will help to launch Imperator, Mythic's next MMO, in America and Europe simultaneously. All of Mythic's European operations, including localization, marketing, distribution, customer support and billing, will be handled through the new European office, beginning with Imperator's release in summer 2006. The American side of the company, including publishing duties, will continue to go through the original Mythic headquarters. "Dark Age of Camelot is a huge success in Europe," said Mark Jacobs, president and CEO of Mythic. "It was the first MMORPG to prove the great potential for online games in Europe. Our new office will allow us to participate in the rapidly growing European MMORPG market, and to expand the player community for Imperator and future Mythic titles.” More details on Imperator will be announced at this year's E3 convention.
