Key members from game developer MumboJumbo have banded together to establish Texas based Slapdash Games, an independent game studio focused on developing casual titles for PC, mobile, and consoles platforms. The new studio was founded by former MumboJumbo veterans Scott Hansen, Matthew Molloy, Darren Walker and Chad Woyewodzic, who created many of the company's most noteworthy hits, including Luxor, Luxor: Amun Rising, Luxor Mah Jong, Luxor 2, and Chainz 2: Relinked. Altogether the four founding members bring an impressive 45 years of experience to the new studio. Slapdash Games' fifth founding member, Marcus Hopkins, is serving as the studio's acting CEO. Hopkins is also the current head of fellow game developer Method Solutions, which is providing the initial funding for the new studio. According to a statement, Method Solutions is also “working closely with the team to establish the foundation of the company and keep the development staff’s energy directed towards making games.” While no information regarding Slapdash Games' upcoming projects have been revealed, the company notes that it will announce its first titles in the near future. “The team at Slapdash Games is unmatched in terms of creating fun, addicting games that are embraced by the mass market,” commented Hopkins. “I applaud their decision to go out on their own and I look forward to helping them become a formidable force in the casual gaming space.”
