Casual publisher and developer MumboJumbo has announced a new partnership with Universal Pictures Digital Platforms Group for a game based on NBC's hit comedy The Office - to debut for PC, PSP and Nintendo DS this fall. Though no game details have been revealed thus far, Bill Kispert, vice president and general manager of Universal's Interactive group promises "a proven, addictive game mechanic we think will be welcomed by fans and casual game players alike." MumboJumbo, which in a different incarnation was formerly a full-price PC game developer (Myth III: The Wolf Age) is best known as the developer of popular casual PC games such as Luxor: Amun Rising and Chainz 2: Relinked, as well as UltraBall and Twisty Tracks. Said MumboJumbo CEO Mark Cottam (previously featured on Gamasutra), "We are honored that NBC Universal has chosen us to be their partner for this exciting new project. We look forward to working closely with their team to ensure that the thematic elements of 'The Office' are closely approximated in the development of the video game."
