MOTEK, showing support for the new Mac OS X, announced that StockMoves will be out for Apple's next-generation operating system. StockMoves is a Web-based library of thousands of stock motions for use by graphic artists, game developers, and animators. StockMoves complements UNICA', MOTEK's initial Web-based solution for deploying professionally captured, cinema-quality 3D movement into mainstream creative projects. StockMoves and UNICA draw on MOTEK's proprietary 2 Terabyte catalogued library of motion capture data. MOTEK's library has been compiled over the last 8 years from a wide variety of the company's projects, such as Mortal Kombat II, City of the Lost Children (the game), and the Crash Test Dummies commercials. StockMoves' initial release consists of thousands of moves, with more moves added daily. UNICA lets creative professionals download and uniquely customize samples from MOTEK's library, using UNICA's blending technology. The customized samples are unique to each developer. UNICA's motion capture data can be exported into a wide range of professional 3D packages, including software from SoftImage, Discreet Logic, Alias Wavefront, NewTek, Kaydara and Side Effects.
