Mobile content producer and publisher Twistbox has announced the formation of a London office, headed up by Justin Richardson, former European mobile executive for Warner Bros Entertainment Inc. Also joining the company's European team is Henrik Salzman, former account manager for GM Entertainments, who will report to Justin and cover Scandinavia out of the Company’s Stockholm office. Richardson joined Warner Bros in 2000, and co-founded the WB International New Media team, overseeing the entertainment brand’s online, interactive TV and mobile businesses in EMEA as Director. Twistbox most recently became the parent company of WAAT Media and German mobile game developer Charismatix, as reported in September of this year, with the latter acquisition being re-branded as Twistbox Games over the course of the following 90 days. Charismatix has been responsible for porting a number of classic Taito franchises such as Arkanoid, Puzzle Bobble, and Rainbow Islands to the mobile platform, as well as a port of infamous C64 sidescroller Giana Sisters. “Building our local presence in Europe that now includes offices in London, Paris, Düsseldorf, Krakow, Stockholm and Moscow is a critical piece of our expansion plans as we take our programming, operator support and revenue to the next level,” Twistbox Entertainment CEO Ian Aaron said in a statement. “Both Justin and Henrik bring the sales and account management discipline to make sure that we deliver the highest quality programming and support to our partners in region.”
