Casual game services company Oberon Media (Kong: Skull Island Adventure, Saints & Sinners Bingo on PC, Astropop, Zuma Deluxe on Xbox 360) announced today that it has acquired mobile game publisher Blaze (formally Kayak) for an undisclosed sum, expanding its mobile reach. The announcement specifically singled out Blaze's existing mobile game distribution network, made up of over 100 carrier partners, and the company's game portfolio as the drivers of the acquisition. Blaze's library includes titles such as The Da Vinci Code, Pro Rally, and Slingo-2-Go, among others. “Oberon is thrilled to welcome Blaze with its extensive relationships and distribution partners into the Oberon family. Blaze experience will help us to scale and execute our strategy to provide the best casual games experience across multiple platforms," Oberon Co-Founder and Head of Business Development Ofer Leidner said in a statement. Oberon, headquartered in New York, provides various casual games solutions across the value chain, including services for publishers, developers, and portal owners. Its flagship product, Oberon Game Center, provides "Internet sites and global brands with a turn-key solution to add casual games to their websites and marketing programs."
