Hudson Entertainment recently announced Lode Runner Deluxe for both BREW and Java platforms. The retro update, available now on some carriers, features overhauled graphics and up to 100 new stages. Hudson intends to launch the game with around 50 levels and release monthly level packs, until 100 total are available. “Lode Runner was one of the first games we launched on the Nintendo Entertainment System.” said John Greiner, President and CEO of Hudson Entertainment. “Since then, we have worked to bring out new versions on various platforms. For mobile, we wanted to come full circle, and a new version of the game that harkened back to the original, but with all new graphics that truly push the boundaries of what’s possible in mobile gaming today.” Hudson has brought other catalogue titles to mobile in 2006, including Military Madness, Bonk, Super Adventure Island, and Fatal Fury. Lode Runner Deluxe is currently available from T-Mobile, Cingular, Sprint, and several regional carriers.
