Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
Midway announced the promotion of two senior executives, Mark Beaumont and David Nichols.
Beaumont, formerly Senior VP, Business Development Midway Games West, was named Senior VP, Publishing. He will continue to handle business development for the company, and take on management of Midway's sales, marketing and publishing operations. Beaumont has 20 years of experience in the game industry with stints at Atari, Activision, Data East, Mindscape/The Software Toolworks, Time Warner Interactive and Psygnosis. Nichols was elevated from Executive VP, Operations at Midway Home Entertainment to Senior VP, Administration and Operations -- expanding his responsibilities for operations, administration, human resources and information technology across the whole company. Prior to joining Midway in 1995, Nichols served various financial roles for companies outside the game industry. Beaumont and Nichols will report directly to Midway Games Chairman and CEO, Neil Nicastro.
