Microsoft Releases Latest Xbox 360 Compatibility Update

Microsoft has released its latest backward compatibility patch bringing more original Xbox games up to date for play on the Xbox 360, with titles like Panzer Dragoon Orta, Jet Set Radio Future now playable.

Microsoft has released its latest backward compatibility patch bringing more original Xbox games up to date for play on the Xbox 360, with titles like Panzer Dragoon Orta, Jet Set Radio Future now playable. The new patches are the first to arrive since December of 2006, when highly anticipated titles like Psychonauts and Conker: Live and Reloaded became playable. According to Microsoft's official back compatibility list, the new update brings games like Panzer Dragoon Orta, Phantom Dust, Mercenaries, Jet Set Radio Future, Breakdown, Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee, and MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf in line for play on the 360. The full list is as follows: - Avatar: The Last Airbender - Breakdown - Call of Duty 2: Big Red One - Call of Duty 3 - Cars - Crash Bandicoot 5: Wrath of Cortex - Dai Senryaku VII: Modern Military Tactics - FIFA Soccer 2007 - Full Spectrum Warrior - Guilty Gear Isuka - JSRF: Jet Set Radio Future - MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf - Mercenaries - NASCAR 2006: Total Team Control - NFL Fever 2004 - Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee - Panzer Dragoon ORTA - Phantom Dust - Reservoir Dogs - Return To Castle Wolfenstein - RugbyLeague 2 - Sonic Riders - Star Wars Republic Commando - Street Fighter Anniversary Collection - The King of Fighters Neowave - The King of Fighters 2002 & 2003 - Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 07 - Tony Hawk's Underground - Ultra Bust-A-Move - Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict - Xiaolin Showdown An offline version of the compatibility patches can be downloaded from Microsoft's Download Center, or running the games on an Xbox 360 will automatically prompt the user for the latest update to the game.
