Linux fans are today up in arms after Microsoft allegedly issued an auto-installing patch to the Xbox dashboard, which prevents the Linux operating system from being easily installed on the console. Enthusiasts had previously found a way to legally install Linux via a bug in the game save function of EA’s 007: Nightfire. With this route closed no doubt many Linux fans will turn to more legally dubious was of installing the software.
