Officials from wireless games publisher Mforma announced that a second round of venture capital has been completed, injecting the company with $40 million in new funding. The venture capital firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson joins existing investors General Catalyst Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners, which have already committed $44 million. According to Mforma CEO Daniel Kranzler, "This round, plus our previous funding, gives us as much capital as if we had gone public, yet we still have the flexibility of a private company to innovate in our business.” Source: Mforma
