Speaking at the Tokyo Game Show on Saturday, officials from Metrowerks have revealed a suite of hardware and software development tools for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) console. CodeWarrior Development Studio for PSP was first announced at GDC in March, and is now available for purchase world-wide. Version 1.0 promises support for Sony Computer Entertainment’s communication protocol; the ability to work within either the native CodeWarrior development environment or the Visual Studio.NET environment; and a graphical C/C++ debugger. In addition, Metrowerks suggests: "CodeWarrior Development Studio for PSP makes it easy to port your code from the PlayStation2 to the PSP."
