Metrowerks announced worldwide availability of their development tool set for Nintendo Gamcube, including a compiler, debugger and integrated development environment. The tools can be installed on the same host machine as Code Warrior tools for other game platforms, allowing game developers to write and debug the same code on multiple target platforms within the same enviroment. Developers can use Code Warrior to create, compile, link, assemble, and debug with an integrated development environment. CodeWarrior also provides the ability to use command line tools, and allows developers to plug-in familiar third-party editors. By the end of Q1 2001, Metrowerks also plans to release CodeWarrior Analysis Tools for Nintendo Gamecube. Game developers can also license the Metrowerks toolkit, making it possible for them to create their own custom analysis tools. CodeWarrior for Dolphin Version 1.0 is available now at US$3500 MSRP.
