Following a recent report that entertainment company Mandalay Media would be acquiring casual games company Green Screen Interactive (Order Up!), a new Mandalay release has said the deal has now been terminated due to terms disagreements. Based in New York City, Green Screen debuted to the public in late April with the acquisitions of formerly independent publishers Destination Software, Inc. and ZOO Digital Publishing. Destination Software will act as a casual games subsidiary of ZOO Digital Publishing, now named Zoo Games. Mandalay Media has recently made a number of moves to acquire various digital distribution and interactive companies, including the January acquisition of mobile games and content provider Twistbox Entertainment. The division is a sister to Mandalay Television and Mandalay Pictures, the latter being the film studio behind movies such as Sleepy Hollow and the I Know What You Did Last Summer series. No further statement on the disagreement was released, only that as of June 16th, the deal between the two companies had been terminated.
