Ahead of its December 3-4 debut, organizers of the first annual Lyon Game Developers Conference have announced a call for papers deadline of September 28th for any of its programming, design, art, audio, production and business tracks.

Ahead of its December 3-4 debut, organizers of the first annual Lyon Game Developers Conference have announced a call for papers deadline of September 28th for any of its programming, design, art, audio, production and business tracks. Lyon GDC is expected to bring together internationally renowned speakers and technical experts. The event will take place the same week and location as Game Connection, the most important business convention in the game industry, and will focus on two much-talked about topics: next-generation games and multi-platform development. Apart from help by GDC executive director Jamil Moledina, the Lyon GDC Advisory Board includes: - Viktor Antonov, Art Director and Founder of The Building design studio - Sarah Chudley, Business Developer of Bizarre Creations - Risa Cohen, Independent Producer - Emmanuel Darras, CEO of Ankama Studio - Julian Eggebrecht, CEO of Factor 5 - Nicolas Gaume, VP Mobile Content, Lagardère Interactive - Serge Hascoet, Chief Creative Officer, Ubisoft - Julien Merceron, Worldwide CTO of Eidos - Avni Yerli, Managing Director of Crytek Said Lyon GDC executive director Pierre Carde, "As the first GDC edition ever to be held in France, the Lyon GDC is the place where all European and international developers want to be this year. The European game industry is blessed with incredibly talented people and it is crucial to provide them with opportunities to share their knowledge and ideas." Experienced developers and industry professionals are invited to submit their proposals for sessions on the Lyon GDC website by 28 September, 2007.
