Accroding to LithTech, the new version of Jupiter features support for dynamic lighting, Fresnel reflections and dynamic surface animations, as well as the addition of cubic environment mapping. Other new features include an improved command editor to more easily create cinematic events and better support for dynamic texture effects. The engine also uses a new 3D renderer, and supports phoneme-based lip-synching with emotion modifiers. Jupiter licensees will receive updated game code from No One Lives Forever 2 to get them acquainted with its use. For information on licensing Jupiter, contact LithTech at [email protected].
