Layoffs at Codemasters

Codemasters has confirmed that it will cut jobs to maintain financial stability.

The company will layoff around 100 employees, both in the U.K. and internationally, in a move characterized as a short-term solution to protect Codemasters during the transition to new formats. “Current market conditions dictate that we make these cuts,” explained Codemaster’s Chairman Jim Darling, “By doing this now we ensure that Codemasters is well positioned to continue publishing some of the best games in the world.” The layoffs are not expected to affect any titles currently in development.
