Lapin has been at THQ since 1995, where he joined as a director. In 1999 he rose to the post of Vice Chairman, and became the Chief Operating Officer in 2000. Lapin is taking over for Kelly Sumner, who is stepping down and will become President of the company's PC publishing unit, Gathering of Developers.
