Independent developer Krome Studios (Viva Pinata: Party Animals, The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night) has announced the hiring of Kurt Busch, former VP of product development at Konami, as its studio director, where he will manage Krome's Melbourne studio, in addition to working with its Adelaide and Brisbane studios. Kurt's recent position at Konami had him oversee development of the upcoming action title Hellboy: The Science of Evil. In his new role at Krome, the company says Busch will be "instrumental in Krome's growth" as the company ramps up production on several unannounced new projects. In his 15 years in the industry, Kurt has worked in a variety of capacities, from design and production to marketing and license acquisition. Robert Walsh, Co-Founder and CEO at Krome Studios, commented, "His addition to the Krome team will help to further lead and drive our growth and success as one of the world's largest indie developers." Said Busch, "I'm very much looking forward to working with everyone to further build upon the company's success and to help set the stage for our future. Krome is an amazing and well regarded development studio, and I'm happy to say that we've got a lot of fantastic plans coming up including several new projects and initiatives that we'll be able to share more information on in the coming months."
