Officials from Konami have announced that the Japanese publishing giant will be expanding its US offices into a new site in Los Angeles. The new offices are described as being the base for the company’s “global Computer & Video Games Business”. Which presumably means the video games HQ for all non-Japanese territories. Under the new name of Konami Digital Entertainment, the Los Angeles operation will be led by the executive corporate officer of Konami’s Computer & Video Games Business, Kazumi Kitaue, who will serve as the CEO. The company will also rename its Redwood City, California sales, marketing and operations subsidiary Konami of America to Konami Digital Entertainment America, which will work as a division of the larger Konami Digital Entertainment.
