Kaydara is shooting Filmbox 3.0 into the marketplace, putting its latest release of the company's real-time 3D content authoring and delivery tool in the hands of studio artists. Kaydara Filmbox 3.0 brings real-time mixedmedia authoring capabilities to Apple computers, with support for Mac OS X in this release, in addition to its already supported operating systems including Windows 2000, Irix, and Red Hat Linux. Some of the big new enhancements to this version is include improvements to the Control Sets feature, enabling 3D artists to animate CG characters, providing animators with the ability to interactively work with both inverse and forward kinematics, to generate keyframe animation, and modify existing motion-capture data. Filmbox 3.0 also includes improvements to keyframing, motion blending, local blending, the timeline tool, shaders, the timewarp tool, retargeting, character triggering and the time warp tool. Kaydara Filmbox 3.0 is available now at a base price of $5,000.
