Namco Bandai has swapped one portable giant robot game for another in the new Japanese chart, as the latest Mobile Suit Gundam game on PSP ousts last week’s number one Super Robot Wars K on Nintendo DS. The new PSP title is a conversion of a popular Asian-only coin-op game originally featuring large panoramic display cabinets. The game’s first week sales of 85,000 units were less than the 117,000 units of Super Robot Wars K, in what has generally been a slower week for sales. The second highest new entry, at number two, is the new PSP adaptation of Nippon Ichi’s PlayStation 2 tactical role-playing game Disgaea 2. The new portable version sold 39,000 units. Also new at number three is Konami’s Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Stardust Accelerator: World Championship 2009 . The new tie-in to the collectable card game and merchandising phenomenon sold 37,000 units on the Nintendo DS. The rest of the top 10 shows little movement from the previous week, with the other new entries in the top 30 proving relatively minor. The most successful, at number 11, is Konami’s Sunday VS Magazine: Shuketsu! Chojo Daikessen for PSP, a crossover fighting game featuring characters from two popular manga magazines. New at number 12 is D3Publisher’s visual novel Vitamin Z for PlayStation 2, while at number 13 is PSP anime tie-in Hayate no Gotoku! Nightmare Paradise from Konami, and at number 14 toy license Metal Fight Beyblade DS from Hudson. Other new entries include Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's: Wheelie Breakers for Wii at number 20, Sega’s anime tie-in Suzumiya Haruhi no Heiretsu for Wii at number 21, and 2D shoot ‘em-up Triggerheart Exelica Enhanced on PS2 from Alchemist at number 25.
