The Artificial Intelligence Interface Standards Committee of the International Game Developers Association is seeking new members to replace positions within the committee that have become vacant. The AIISC's purpose is to standardize low-level video game AI procedures such as pathfinding, freeing up AI developers to concentrate on making advances within the field. Several working groups in the committee have vacant positions: the committee is seeking members to work on Finite State Machines, Goal-oriented Action Planning, Pathfinding, Rule-based Systems, Steering, and World Interfacing, as well as members of its support team. Those wishing to apply for one of the working groups should send in their name, email address, company affiliation, desired working group, a list of games contributed to, and a list of academic publications or projects. A brief explanation of your planned contributions to the working group and a list of involvement in "common good" projects is also required. The deadline for submissions is February 20, 2006, and entries can be submitted to AIISC chairman Alexander Nareyek. More information about the AIISC can be found at its website.
