Harvey “Witchboy” Smith has announced that he is to leave US developer ION Storm. Smith was lead designer on the original Deus Ex and project leader on Deus Ex: Invisible War. His reasons for leaving the company are not clear but in a statement he indicated that he had not yet decided what to do next and that his eventual choice may not necessarily involve video games. Smith is the second ION Storm employee to leave in as many weeks, following the recent departure of Thief: Deadly Shadows designer Randy Smith (no relation). Source: GameSpy
