In a shock announcement Nintendo of Europe MD David Gosen has announced that he will leave the company at the end of August. After five years with Nintendo he will move to become COO of mobile entertainment publisher Digital Bridges. Gosen’s position as MD of sales and marketing will now be split between Jim Merrick, who is to be promoted to senior director of European marketing and Tim Freystedt who becomes senior European marketing manager. A fairly low key personality in the industry, Gosen’s most notable recent action was his attack at industry rivals and retailers at a recent ELSPA summit. Source: MCV
