Speaking to C&VG, Genepool MD Dave Anthony has refuted Internet rumors that the company has gone into liquidation. He did confirm though that all staff at the company had been laid off, although they have all been paid until the end of the month and the company continues to operate as a business. The company, who worked on X-Men 2 title Wolverine’s Revenge, were affected when Activision recently cancelled several titles after poor financial results. Anthony is now seeking alternative finance and publishing deals, with the eventual hope of re-employing most of the staff.
