The 2005 GCDC Developer Conference, hosted alongside the Games Convention video game show in Leipzig, Germany from August 16th to August 18th, has named its first few guest speakers, as well as a date and location for the event. The GCDC hopes to both build relations between internationally-based publishers and developers, and to bolster the sharing of technology-related findings in games. GCDC 2005 will play host to several speakers and presenters, foremost among them being Julian Eggebrecht of Factor 5, Bill Anker of Activision, David Smith of Interactive Selection, David Gosen of I-Play, and Bob Bates. Other speakers include Guido Henkel from G3 Software, Matt Frior from Mythic Entertainment, Martin Hoffesommer from Electronic Arts, and David Freemann. The GCDC 2005 conference's official website has also gone live with more details on the conference, such as background information on the presenters, a conference schedule, and details on both offline and online registration. The Games Convention event itself, encompassing the GC Games & Entertainment consumer game show and the GC Business Center B2B conference, as well as GCDC 2005, will be held from August 18th to August 21st at the Leipzig Exhibition Centre in Leipzig, Germany.
