This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending April 6, highlight both to-be-released and already released games in a unique demand-specific chart. While Nintendo's Wii exclusive Super Paper Mario enjoyed a brief stay atop the all platform chart last week, the 2D/3D platformer was quickly dethroned, with Activision's movie inspired Spiderman 3 taking top honors on the most current chart. Super Paper Mario still proved to be a popular choice among GameFly subscribers, taking the second position on the chart, with the top three being rounded out by Ubisoft's multiplatform TMNT. What follows is a break down of the top titles requested by GameFly subscribers across each of the major platforms: Nintendo Wii 1. Super Paper Mario (Nintendo), 2. Prince of Persia: Rival Swords (Ubisoft), 3. Cooking Mama: Cook Off (Majesco), 4. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 (Electronic Arts) 5. Medal of Honor: Vanguard (Electronic Arts) As expected, Nintendo's Super Paper Mario, shipping today, ranked above all other Wii requests for the week, with the game's closest competition coming from the only newcomer to the top five, Ubisoft's Prince of Persia: Rival Swords. The rest of the Wii list was filled out by titles that occupied last week's top five as well, including Majesco's casual Cooking Mama: Cook Off, and EA's Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 and Medal of Honor: Vanguard. Xbox 360 1. Spiderman 3 (Activision), 2. TMNT (Ubisoft), 3. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (Ubisoft), 4. Mass Effect (Microsoft), 5. Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars (Electronic Arts). Spiderman 3 swung ahead of last week's top Xbox 360 title for the week, TMNT, no doubt riding a wave of fan anticipation for the upcoming movie. Another highly anticipated release, BioWare's Mass Effect surged onto the chart to take the fourth position for the week, months ahead of its anticipated second quarter release. Another future release, the Xbox 360 port of EA's Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, claimed the fifth spot on the console's chart, with a release date in early May currently expected. PlayStation 3 1. MotorStorm (Sony), 2. The Godfather: The Don's Edition (Electronic Arts), 3. Spiderman 3 (Activision), 4. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Bethesda), 5. Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Ubisoft). Interestingly, Bethesda's role-playing epic Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion fell from last week's spot on top of the PS3 chart to the fourth position, yielding to not only Sony's arcade style racer MotorStorm, but EA's The Godfather and Activision's Spiderman 3 as well. PlayStation 2 1. God of War II (Sony), 2. TMNT (Ubisoft), 3. Bully (Take Two) 4. Medal of Honor: Vanguard (Electronic Arts), 5. Spiderman 3 (Activision). PlayStation 2 requests remained largely unchanged from last week, with Sony's God of War II and Ubisoft's TMNT again taking the top spots for the console. What was interesting is that Take Two's Rockstar developed schoolyard sandbox game Bully managed to push and shove its way back into the chart's top positions, taking third for the week, above even Medal of Honor: Vanguard and Spiderman 3. Xbox 1. Scarface: The World Is Yours (Vivendi), 2. Family Guy - Video Game! (Take Two) 3. Major League Baseball 2K7 (Take Two), 4. Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (Midway), 5. Ninja Gaiden Black (Tecmo). Here's a shocker - Halo 2 has fallen completely off of the Xbox console's top five for the week, down from last week's number one spot to a distant sixth. Its replacement? Vivendi's Scarface: The World Is Yours. However, this is probably more an indicator that most Xbox console owners own the popular first-person shooter, rather than a sign of its declining popularity. GameCube 1. TMNT (Ubisoft), 2. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Nintendo), 3. Mario Party 7 (Nintendo), 4. Disney's Meet the Robinsons (Buena Vista), 4. Mario Party 7 (Nintendo), 5. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Nintendo). After falling a bit into second place among GameCube requests, the iconic The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess has managed to usurp the console's throne from Ubisoft's TMNT, which fell to second place for the week. Interestingly, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door ranked as the fifth top requested GameCube request for the week, excitement no doubt driven by the game's sequel, released this week for the Wii. Nintendo DS 1. Pokemon Pearl (Nintendo), 2. Pokemon Diamond (Nintendo), 3. Spectrobes (Buena Vista), 4. Wario: Master of Disguise (Nintendo), 5. Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords (D3P). Not much has changed since last week concerning Nintendo DS requests, with the top two positions still occupied by Nintendo's Pokemon franchise (though this week Pearl and Diamond swapped spots). The one new entry on the chart was was Nintendo's Wario: Master of Disguise in fourth, while D3P's rather unique Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords fell slightly to take the fifth position for the week. Game Boy Advance 1. Pokemon Emerald (Nintendo), 2. Final Fantasy VI Advance (Nintendo), 3. Pokemon Fire Red (Nintendo), 4. Petz Vet (Ubisoft), 5. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team (Nintendo). Like the Nintendo DS, the week's Game Boy Advance chart echoed the previous week's requests, with Pokemon Emerald and Final Fantasy VI Advance both continuing to take the top two spots respectively. Interesting, Ubisoft's TMNT fell of the chart completely, replaced instead by the company's more casual Petz Vet. PlayStation Portable 1. 300: March to Glory (Eidos), 2. Prince of Persia: Rival Swords (Ubisoft) 3. Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters (Sony), 4. Killzone: Liberation (Sony), 5. Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (Konami). Finally, PSP requests were once again topped by Eidos' movie adaptation of 300, a game that has continued to dominate the portable's chart for the last five weeks in a row. Sony's PSP version of Ratchet & Clank fell slightly to third, topped by Ubisoft's Prince of Persia: Rival Swords. Konami's Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops also dropped as well, taking the fifth position on the chart as compared to last week's fourth.
