Independent publisher Gamecock has announced that its slate of titles are to be launched on Valve's digital download platform Steam, starting with Stronghold Crusader Extreme and Insecticide Part 1, with more titles to come. Gamecock says the Firefly developed RTS Stronghold Crusader Extreme focuses on a new twenty-mission Extreme Trail set with over 10,000 units on the battlefield at any given time, new A.I. opponents and 30 stand-alone maps for multiplayer or single-player skirmishes, and includes the complete original Stronghold game. Crackpot's Insecticide Part 1 is described as a film noir title that combines "hard-boiled, fast-shooting action scenes" with "clever adventuring in a world where bugs have evolved as the planet's dominant race." Gamecock adds that the second episode in the Insecticide adventure will be made available on the service later in the year, along with forthcoming stealth title Velvet Assassin and FPS Legendary.
