Gamasutra sister organization Game Developer Research has announced a call to fill out a new survey on game platform and tool usage, with an all-access pass to GDC 2009 up for grabs for one respondent. The questionnaire is intended for professional game developers, and asks questions about target development platforms, game middleware, and art/code construction tools regularly used as part of your daily job. An overview of the results will be available for the community to learn from on Gamasutra in the next few weeks, while the detailed and annotated results will debut on Game Developer Research at the same time. As mentioned, one of the survey respondents will be randomly selected to receive an all-access pass to Game Developers Conference 2009, to be held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco on March 23rd-27th, 2009. Game Developer Research was formed in 2007 by the editors of Game Developer magazine and Gamasutra to bring a new level of empirical measurement and high quality prediction to the video game research market. Thus far, it's released six reports, including the Game Developer Salary Report: 2004-2008, the Top 50 Developers 2008 report, the Game Developer 2008 Government Game Incentive Report, and the Top 20 Publishers 2007 Survey. More information on the reports is available at the official Game Developer Research website.
