Organizer IDG has announced that the GDC Game Career Seminar, run by Gamasutra parent company Think Services, will be returning to the second annual Oct. 3-5th E For All Expo, adding what it calls "an important educational opportunity for gamers who want to get into the video game business." IDG says the seminar will let "professionals looking to break into the video game business, or already seasoned players looking for new expertise," have an opportunity to "network with industry professionals, meet with HR executives from leading game companies, and most importantly, gain the skills and insights to jumpstart their careers." The event will take place on October 3rd, and will offer developers the opportunity to learn new skills, network, and further their careers in video game and digital development. Seminar pass holders also receive one-day admission to E for All exhibits. Said GDC Events executive director Jamil Moledina, "Our goal with Game Career Seminar is to present customized access to the game creation process to people who are passionate about gaming, and help jumpstart their careers in the video game development industry." "As one of the industry’s most popular games-related events, partnering once again with E for All connects us to a large concentration of game enthusiasts in North America, thereby inspiring dedicated fans to become the next generation of video game auteurs." More information on sign-up and specifics for the event will be available on the E For All website and the official Game Career Seminar page in the near future.
