Future Play, the yearly international conference on the future of game design and technology, brings together academics, industry, and students to work on advancing game design and technology through peer-reviewed research, creative and experimental game design and development, and has announced an extension of its deadlines. Roundtable, workshop, paper, and poster submissions are invited from academics, industry, and students. Content will be peer-reviewed and should address the areas of the conference. Submissions have been extended to August 11, 2006. The Game Exhibition and Competition will allow academic, independent, experimental, and student developers to gain recognition for their game-related work in a peer-reviewed setting. All game submissions will be peer-reviewed by a panel of industry and academic judges for inclusion in the exhibition. Submissions are due September 8, 2006. Initiated in 2002 and run by Algoma University College, home to North America's first MSc Computer Games Technology, the conference provides insight into the future of game development, the future of game impacts and applications, and the future of game talent. The conference is being hosted by the University of Western Ontario on October 10 through 12, 2006 at the London Convention Centre in London, Ontario, Canada.
