UK publishing giant The Future Network has acquired Computec Media UK from its parent company Computec Media AG. The consideration was £3.2 million ($5.4m), payable at completion, which will be funded from Future's cash resources; Future has also agreed a licensing arrangement with Computec that will allow the German company to use content from a number of its titles. The purchase gives Future an even greater stranglehold over the UK games magazine market, as it adds titles such as PSW and Xbox World to its stable.
