Geometric Computing has released a free demonstration of the Architect III Modeling Tools. The Architect III Modeling Tools are designed to help developers create large, Real-Time databases, and store those databases in an easily accessible, optimized format. Helper programs, like the sample runtime and terrain tools, round out the capabilities of the software. The modeling tools are designed to work in conjunction with 3rd party modeling/animation packages by providing a central content repository. The Architect III tools are WYSIWYG, with generic scene-graph hierarchy controlled by a powerful, object-oriented C++ class library that also implements the runtime. The tools offer parametric surface modeling and scene construction, real-time texturing, and dynamic parameter changes that are immediately visible on the worksheet. Developers have full control over display and deployment of the content they create. The Architect framework simplifies many technical features required by a Real-Time application and gives developers the ability to create content tools and techniques that are scaleable across multiple products and product lines.
