Independent developer Artificial Mind & Movement has announced its hiring of longtime video game industry executive Jamie Leece as its new senior business development VP. Most recently, Leece held a business development VP position at inXile Entertainment. Over his two-decade history in the video game industry, he has also served as president of defunct Take-Two label Gotham Games and a director at Interplay, and was the founder of game consultancy firm Rainmaker Games. "I'm thrilled to be joining Artificial Mind & Movement at this exciting time," said Leece in a statement. "I look forward to helping the company extend and expand its relationships with our current publishing partners, as well as looking for new strategic relationships in all aspects of the interactive industry." Montreal-based A2M recently completed work on its first original game property, the third-person action game Wet, published by Bethesda Softworks. A2M president and CEO Remi Racine said that, with Leece's help, the company hopes "to strengthen our position as one of the world’s top independent studios."
