Fonix Speech, a provider of speech technology solutions and interfaces for video games, has announced that the company has joined Epic Games’ Integrated Partners Program for Unreal Engine 3. As part of this new announcement, the company's VoiceIn Game Edition software has been integrated into Unreal Engine 3 and is now available for licensing directly from Fonix Speech. Epic Games' Integrated Partners Program establishes a formal business relationship between the game and middleware developer and select companies developing cross-platform technologies which integrate with, and are complementary to, Unreal Engine 3. As part of the program, Epic provides continuous Unreal Engine 3 source code access and full technical support to program members. In addition, those companies that join Epic's partnership program agree to provide a high level of technical support for Unreal Engine 3 licensees through Epic’s established support channels, as well as keep implementations up-to-date with the latest software versions, and work with Epic on potential promotional and co-marketing efforts. “We’re pleased to have Fonix join our Integrated Partners Program as it enables us to provide Unreal Engine 3 licensees with access to complementary technology that helps them deliver great content. Our licensees can be safe in the knowledge that Fonix has fully integrated VoiceIn and provides direct support for its use within Unreal Engine 3,” commented Epic's vice president, Mark Rein.
