Recently-founded developer Faramix Enterprises has announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Epic Games to use Unreal Engine 3 technology in the development of its first next-generation first-person shooter. Faramix says it's working on finding a studio, initial talks with publishers, and completing a playable demo of its first yet-undetailed title called End, which it has slated for release in 2009. “We’re eager to show the world our next generation FPS, and with the use of the Unreal Engine 3 we can finally bring our dreams to life," says Faramix president and CEO Michael Dehen. “It’s always a pleasure for us to be able to deliver Unreal technology into the hands of new developers who are single-minded in their focus on raising the creative bar in the work they produce,” says Epic VP Mark Rein.
