Mobile game technology provider Exit Games has announced its plans to offer the Exit Games Neutron multiplayer extension for Qualcomm's BREW solution. Exit Games Neutron is a full service multiplayer solution for the development, hosting and worldwide deployment of applications for mobile phones. For the customer, Neutron connects cross-device and cross-network mobile games, thus allowing gamers to play each other across networks, on BREW handsets. For the developer, the seamless integration of Exit Games Neutron into the BREW solution facilitates easy development and rollout of comprehensive multiplayer games. Exit Games' multiplayer extension for the BREW solution will offer numerous multiplayer game play modes, community functions, and administrative functions. Brick Challenge by Bytedefenders will be the first game utilizing Exit Games' Neutron BREW extension, and was first demonstrated at the BREW 2005 Conference in June. "We decided to develop for Qualcomm's BREW solution as it is the leading environment for next-generation mobile games," says Christof Wegmann, CTO of Exit Games. "The Exit Games Neutron BREW extension dramatically simplifies mobile multiplayer game development and allows developers to focus on creating great titles." "Adding multiplayer functionality to mobile games significantly enhances the overall experience for gamers by leveraging the key elements of competition and community," said Mike Yuen, director, Gaming Group for Qualcomm Internet Services. "Qualcomm is pleased that Exit Games is leveraging the BREW solution to deliver a compelling full service multiplayer solution that will help advance this rapidly growing market."
