THQ announced changes to its executive management, appointing a new senior vice president of human resources, and revealing the departure of its vice chairman and COO.
Bill Goodmen, most recently an executive at Liberty Livewire Corporation, joins THQ as Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Goodmen will manage THQ's human resources and will report to President and CEO Brian Farrell. Leaving the company is Vice Chairman and COO Jeffrey C. Lapin, who is going to "pursue other opportunities". Lapin's product development responsibilities will now fall to Jack Sorensen, the Executive VP of Worldwide Studios, and Philip Holt, the VP of Product Development. THQ said that as a result of Lapin's departure, it is dissolving the position of COO. Sorensen will temporarily oversee the company's business development duties until a an executive replacement is found to handle that job, and Leslie Brown, VP and Chief Legal Counsel, will manage legal affairs from now on.
