Electronics Boutique announced that it has acquired the assets of <a href="http://www.game-it.com">Game it!</a>, a Kempten, Germany-based company that has retail outlets, gaming publications, e-commerce and mail order operations.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. "Europe represents a significantly large potential market for expansion opportunities. The Game it! acquisition is a unique opportunity to accelerate our growth overseas through an existing retail distribution and fulfillment infrastructure," said Jeffrey W. Griffiths, president and chief executive officer of Electronics Boutique. He indicated the company intends to retain existing management of Game it!, as well as most of its key employees.
